Probate & Attorney Services

Can we help you resolve your probate needs?

If assets exceeding GBP 10,000 (or currency equivalent) are held in Jersey on behalf of a deceased client, a Jersey Grant of Representation must be obtained before those assets can be released.

Applications for a Jersey Grant of Representation must be made in the Island and in person. Postal applications are not allowed. If the executor/executrix is resident outside of Jersey, he or she can appoint an Attorney in the Island to appear in the local Probate Court on their behalf.

We have provided Attorney services in the Island for many years, and remain one of the leading companies by expertise and volume. We will prepare the necessary documentation, obtain clearance from the local tax office, make a personal application to the Court, and once Probate has been issued, will collect and distribute the assets in accordance with the instructions of the executor/executrix. Our minimum charge for this service is £485 providing the deceased has died domiciled in the UK, Isle of Man and Guernsey.

We can provide this service for non UK domiciled cases and we are happy to provide a fee quotation on request.
