Lloyds TSB Fixed Term Deposits are available in sterling, US dollars, euro and many other major currencies and the interest rate is fixed for the whole period of your deposit. Holding a currency deposit can be a way, if you are living overseas, to ease exchange rate fluctuations. It might also prove more convenient to hold a contract in the currency in which you are being paid.

• You tell us how much you are prepared to deposit and for how long
• We confirm with you the rate of interest that your savings will earn and we fix that rate for the period of your deposit
• Interest is normally paid at the end of the agreed deposit period, but for sterling deposits can be paid at alternative times to suit your personal requirements on request
• You agree not to withdraw the funds before the end of your chosen deposit period
• All placements of funds onto a new Fixed Term Deposit are applied on a two working-day value basis for currency other than sterling
• A Principal Servicing Account must be opened for each currency in which a Fixed Term Deposit is held
• A Principal Servicing Account is a call account and will show all additions to and withdrawals from the Fixed Term Deposit at each maturity
• A minimum deposit of £10,000 or an equivalent amount in currency is required
• A full range of deposit periods are available ranging from a week up to several years generally depending on the amount you have to deposit

How do I apply?

Fixed Term Deposits are available for UK residents, residents of the Channel Islands and Isle of Man, British expatriates and foreign nationals living or working overseas wishing to invest a minimum of £10,000.
