Are you planning to live, work or travel overseas? If so, the Premier International Account is ideal for you if you want convenient access to your money, whilst also banking in the local currency.

The Premier International Account offers:

  • Visa debit cards in Sterling, Euro and US Dollar, for easy worldwide access to your money.
  • No monthly fee on balances above £2,500/€2,500/US$3,500 - £20/€20/$30 otherwise. Only one fee applies for multi-currency accounts.
  • 24/7 Internet Banking and PhoneBank
  • Worldwide family travel insurance*
    • If you're a resident of the EEA, you need to also apply for a Premier International Account in Sterling in order to benefit from the travel insurance.
    • Due to regulatory requirements, travel insurance is not available to US and Canadian residents.
  • Concierge service — 24/7 phone-based assistance worldwide.
  • Relationship manager service — if you hold a balance of £100,000 (or currency equivalent)
  • Access to a wide range of International banking products from savings and investments to mortgages

To set up your Premier International Account, you need to fill out a simple form and send us some documents. Once we've received your documents, we'll get your account up and running within 5 working days.

1) Ensure you have your details ready

You'll need:

  • details of your income, including salary and investments
  • your existing bank account details
  • details of your addresses over the last 3 years
  • your current passport or National Identification card

You will need to certify your documents.

2) Complete the application form

Print out the application form and complete it by hand — this takes about 20 minutes for each applicant. Both applicants will need to sign the form.

3) Send us some supporting documents

You'll need to send us:

  • Proof of identity
  • Proof of address
  • Proof of income

4) We'll open your account straight away

Once we've received your application and supporting documents, we'll open your account straight away.

If we need any more information before opening your account, we'll contact you by phone or email.

Your Account will be opened by Lloyds TSB Offshore Limited in the Isle of Man.

5) We'll send you a welcome letter and your debit cards and cheque book

After your account is set up, we'll send you:

  • a welcome letter within 5 working days
  • your debit card(s) within 10 working days
  • your cheque book within 10 working days (only available to Sterling account holders)

* The maximum age for medical benefits in 'Emergency Medical and Other Benefits' and 'Hospital Benefit' section is 65 years inclusive. Worldwide travel insurance is available to Premier International Account customers of Lloyds TSB Offshore Limited (including all Premier International Sterling accounts). If you are resident in the EEA (excluding the UK) and only open a Euro and/or US Dollar account you will not be covered so please contact us to discuss your options.
