To create a new international recipient, you'll need to provide us with their bank account number and the full name and address of their bank.
For payments to the EU (European Union and EEA (European Economic Area), you'll also need to provide the BIC (Bank Identifier Code)/Swift code and the IBAN (International Bank Account Number).
You'll need to give us accurate information about the person you are sending it to. This includes:
BIC stands for Bank Identifier Code. It is a unique code that identifies a particular bank in a specific country. It helps us process transactions efficiently and quickly, and payments to the European Union and EEA (European Economic Area) cannot be made without it.
IBAN stands for International Bank Account Number. It is a unique code that identifies an individual bank account. We won't be able to process your payment to the European Union and EEA (European Economic Area) without an IBAN.
IBANs are a mandatory requirement for payments to the European Union and EEA (European Economic Area). Please note that IBANs can have a different number of characters.
You'll need to ask your recipient for the BIC/SWIFT code of their bank.
Payments to new recipients can be made as soon as their details have been set up.
