Apply for a Premier International Account — personal customers

1. Are you eligible?

New customers:

You can apply for the account if

  • You are a personal customer, aged 18 or over
  • You have a gross annual income of £50,000* or over £25,000* to invest with Lloyds TSB International within 3 months of opening your account.
    (* Or currency equivalent.)
Existing customers of Lloyds Banking Group:

If you're an existing customer of Lloyds TSB, Halifax or Bank of Scotland, the above criteria don't apply to you. Thank you for your loyalty.

All customers also need to make an initial deposit into their account within 6 weeks of opening.

2. Before you start

What you'll need:
  • A valid email address
  • Your address(es) for the last 3 months
  • If you need a joint account: all of the above for the second applicant

The online form takes about 15 minutes.

There are 7 steps.

Time limit: To keep your details secure, there's a 15 minute time limit for each step. If you go over the limit, you'll need to begin again.

3. What happens next?

  1. Once you submit your application, we'll email you a confirmation.
  2. We'll review your application within 2 working days and email you a list of supporting documents we need in order to open your account.
  3. Once we've received your supporting documents, we will:
    • Open your account and send you a welcome letter within 5 working days
    • Send your debit card(s) and cheque book (£ only) within 10 working days

If we need any more information before opening your account, we'll contact you by phone or email.
