Apply for an International Account — personal customers

1. Are you eligible?

You are eligible for an International Account if:

  • You are a personal customer, aged 18 or over
  • And you can deposit £1,500, US $1,500 or €1,500 (as applicable) within 6 weeks of account opening

3. Apply online

The online form takes about 15 minutes.

There are 7 steps.

Time limit: To keep your details secure, there's a 10 minute time limit for each step. If you go over the limit, you'll need to begin again.

2. What you'll need before you start

  • A valid email address (no email address? Download the PDF application)
  • Your passport or identification card details
  • Your income details
  • Your addresses for the last 3 years
  • If you're an existing Lloyds TSB customer: your current account details
  • If you need a joint account: all of the above for the second applicant

4. What happens next?

Once you submit your application, we'll email you a confirmation and details of the supporting documents that you will need to send to us.

Once we've received your supporting documents, we'll let you know if your application is successful. If it is, we will:

  • Open your account and send you a welcome letter within 5 working days
  • Send your debit card(s) and cheque book (£ only) within 10 working days

If we need any more information before opening your account, we'll contact you by phone or email.
