Your International Account application

How to apply for a sterling, euro and/or US dollar account

There are two ways you can apply for an International Account:
If you are applying on your own, you can complete our quick and easy online application. If you are applying for a joint account, we'll need you to print and post the application form to us.

Before you start
you'll need
  • Income details including salary and investments, if relevant
  • Existing bank account details
  • Details of your addresses over the last 3 months
  • Current passport or identification card number

What will happen after you have applied online?

  1. You will need to send us the following in order for us to progress your application:
    • Proof of identity
    • Proof of address
    • Income details
    • Sample signature
    • Initial deposit
    After you've submitted your application you will receive an email detailing what documents we need you to send.

    Depending on your circumstances we may need to contact you for additional information.
  2. Once your application is complete and your account opened we'll send you:
    - a welcome letter within 5 working days
    - your debit card(s) and cheque book (if requested) - within 10 working days
